Morrisville, N.C. — ETix, a 9-year-old firm that provides on-demand ticketing software, just may have secured the financial ticket it needs for substantial growth.
Southern Capitol Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on emerging companies and technology, is investing $1 million in eTix.
The Morrisville-based firm, which employs some 70 people, plans to use the funds for expansion.
“We continue to invest in the very best entrepreneurs in our region and in companies that we understand really well and believe we can help take to the next level,” said Jason Caplain of Southern Capitol, who has been working with eTix as an advisor. “Like all of our portfolio companies, eTix is right in a sweet spot for us.”
