Raleigh, N.C. — PricewaterhouseCoopers’ quarterly venture capital review and analysis event has been rescheduled for May 29.
The “Shaking the MoneyTree” session was scheduled for May 15. PwC postponed the event Tuesday. Jeff Barber, the longtime manager of the Raleigh PwC practice who leads the venture overview, could not attend the Thursday event due to a death in his family..
Barber, who has been active in a host of startup companies and helped take firms such as Red Hat public, is retiring in June.
“As many of you know, this quarter will be Jeff's last opportunity to address the venture capital community at these breakfasts, as he will be retiring from PwC next month after over 30 years of service,” PwC said inn a statement. “In light of his significant contributions and involvement with our local entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, we would prefer to reschedule to ensure that we will have Jeff present for this last hurrah.”
The conference will take place at 7:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites in Cary.
