Florida Firm Picks Georgia Electronic Design Center for R&D Operation

LifeSync Corporation, a Florida-based firm, will establish a research and design center for wireless medical technology at the Georgia Electronic Design Center.

LifeSync’s effort is being supported by the Georgia Research Alliance.

The center will seek to develop LifeSync’s next generation of medical devices. The company already sells a wireless electrocardiogram product.

"GEDC is excited to be part of LifeSync's strategy for developing innovative products to serve its growing customer base," said Joy Laskar, GEDC’s director and a professor at Georgia Tech. "All of us at Georgia Tech view the utilization of our research and technology skills as a key responsibility in helping the state prosper in the technology economy of the 21st century.”

The GEDC offers support to a variety of technology firms, projects and technology commercialization efforts.
