CHARLOTTE — Southern Capitol Ventures will be giving entrepreneurs a chance to discuss business ideas and products at a “Calling All Entrepreneurs” event in Charlotte on Feb. 13.
Working in conjunction with Terry Cox, who runs the Business Innovation and Growth (BIG) Council, Southern Capitol representatives will meet with entrepreneurs one-on-one. Sessions are scheduled to last 15 minutes.
The Raleigh-based venture capital firm focuses primarily on early-stage companies.
The Charlotte event will be the fifth put on by Southern Capitol. Two programs have already taken place in the Research Triangle area. Others were hosted on Atlanta and Reston, Va.
“The turnout has always been great and we have enjoyed meeting so many new entrepreneurs in the process,” said Southern Capitol’s Jason Caplain in his blog.
“The goal is to give ANY entrepreneur that fits into one of these industries (software, e-commerce, digital media, healthcare IT or wireless) the opportunity to meet with us for 15 minutes and to be heard,” he wrote.
“The entrepreneur can share their idea or company with us and get instant feedback. Just like past formats, we promise that no one will get screened out.”
