Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Quintiles Transnational is adding a Boston firm to its growing consulting business group.
Eidetics, a privately held firm that provides market research and what Quintiles calls “decision analytics,” will become part of Quintiles Consulting. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Quintiles Consulting already offers product development, commercialization and market-access services.
"The addition of Eidetics to our Quintiles Consulting business will further strengthen our ability to provide our clients with distinctive, data-driven, strategic solutions to their toughest challenges throughout the product lifecycle," Jay Norman, president of Quintiles Consulting, said in a statement.
Eidetics, a 20-year-old firm, works with 18 of the 20 leading pharmaceutical firms.
"They have earned an enviable reputation for strong research and analytics expertise and outstanding client service. Together, we will offer industry-leading strategic consulting, powered by life sciences expertise, operational insights and data analytics,” Norman added.
Norman joined Quintiles, the world’s largest contract research organization, last fall. He had worked at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, where he was president and chief operating officer. He also has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, McKinsey and Co. and Accenture.
