SBA loan deadline is Monday
Posted December 27, 2010
The deadline is approaching for small businesses and non-profits to recoup losses suffered during the last major winter storm to strike the Triangle.
The snow that fell in the last weekend of January blanketed the region and led many schools and businesses to close for days.
The Small Business Administration offers low-interest loans up to $2 million to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred. The loans are not designed to replace lost sales or profits.
To obtain disaster loan information and application forms, call the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for people with speech or hearing disabilities) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for economic injury applications is Dec. 27.
