Manufacturer to expand Duplin County operation
A company that makes hydraulic cylinders plans to expand its Beulaville plant, creating 89 jobs, officials said Friday.
Posted — UpdatedPrecision Hydraulic Cylinders Inc. will invest $3.4 million in the plant during the next three years.
The average annual salary of the new jobs will be $26,777, plus benefits, which is slightly higher than Duplin County's average of $26,729.
Founded in 1992, PHC is based in Wilmington and also has manufacturing plants in Wallace, England and India.
The company qualified for a $92,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which provides financial assistance to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create jobs in the state. Companies receive no money up front and must meet job creation and investment performance targets to obtain the funds.
