Burt's Bees to move to Durham

Durham, N.C. — Burt's Bees will move to downtown Durham's American Tobacco Campus later this spring,
CEO John Replogle said Wednesday.

He expects the move, which effects 150 employees, to be completed by June 1. Over the next three years, Replogle said, the company plans to hire an additional 50 people at the Durham location.

The company will retain its Morrisville location for manufacturing.

This means that the Obama-supporting Replogle will be driving an extra 10 miles a day to work from his $1.9 million house hear North Hills. He will be burning an extra gallon of gas in his Hybrid Highlander per day, or, 250 extra gallons of gas per year. Nice news for Earth Day.
