Raleigh, N.C. — Despite the economy, development at North Hills in Raleigh surges forward.
The Renaissance Hotel is now open for business.
The 10-story hotel features 229 luxury guest rooms and space for banquets. A regular room rents for about $230 per night.
Managers said bookings are strong in 2009. They'll play host to nearly two dozen weddings.
The hotel joins a new office tower and apartment community recently opened in the area.
