Raleigh, N.C. — Tweeter will close three Triangle-area stores by the end of the year as part of a company-wide liquidation, a spokesman said Friday. About 30 people will lose jobs in Cary, Raleigh and Durham.
The electronics retailer with local roots filed for bankruptcy last week and has started liquidating merchandise.
Hillsborough's Now AudioVideo, a local chain with six stores and a warehouse, was acquired by Tweeter in 2004.
