Blue Cross, UNC Health Care sign contract

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The University of North Carolina Health Care System has signed a multi-year contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC).

The contract, effective Friday, continues to provide BCBSNC customers access to inpatient and outpatient services at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill and Raleigh’s Rex Healthcare, as well as physicians at each location.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with UNC Health Care," said BCBSNC's Vice President of Network Management, Milo Brunick. "Our networks include every hospital in the Triangle and virtually all in the state of North Carolina. We remain committed to ensuring our customers have access to a quality network of North Carolina doctors and hospitals at the most competitive price."
