RALEIGH, N.C. — Local furniture store CJ Woodmaster is closing its doors for good.

The company, with stores in Raleigh, Cary, Durham and Fayetteville, has filed for bankruptcy.

Customers who paid by credit card are advised to call their credit card company immediately and dispute the charge.

They also should collect paperwork that details what they bought, which store they bought it from, the total amount paid and their name, address and telephone number.

The information should be sent to the law office of William Yeager, PO Box 100, Durham, NC 27702, or e-mailed to amguyton@williamyaeger.com.

Anyone needing additional assistance can call 919-683-5858.

The bankruptcy involves five corporations, so there are five separate bankruptcy cases.

A CJ Woodmaster spokeswoman said the company has assets, but the resolution will probably take “months and months.”
