GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A manufacturer of electrical equipment components plans to expand its operations in Wayne County, creating 50 jobs over the next three years, officials said Thursday.

Reuel Inc. will invest $2 million in the expansion and will receive a $100,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, officials said.

Reuel, which makes insulating components for medium-voltage electrical equipment, plans to move a unit recently acquired from Impulse Manufacturing to its Goldsboro facility.

The average weekly wage of the new jobs will be $1,017, plus benefits, which is higher than the Wayne County average weekly wage of $519, not including benefits, officials said.
