So there was some kind of basketball tournament over the weekend, right? Yeah, I heard something along those lines. Oh, and Duke University won the tourney and now they're a #1 seed for some OTHER basketball wingding that's happening later this week? Hmm. I know a little about that, too. I'd know a lot more if I'd been following a site that Duke University launched last month -- a site that aggregates Duke's social media.

The new site's available at http://socialmedia.duke.edu/ and the main part of it consists of two panels. The panel on the right is the latest content from Duke's Facebook fan page. The panel on the left has three Twitter tabs: one tab for tweets from Duke folks, one tab to search Twitter for hashtags related to Duke (like #duke or #bluedevils) and one tab for listing all the official university Twitter feeds -- there are over 100 of 'em!

Beneath that you'll find links to many of Duke's other social media properties, including iTunes, Flickr, and YouTube. And hey, did you know Duke has an video on demand site?

There's plenty to see at Duke's new social media gathering site, but I can't imagine how crazy it'll get if Duke gets into the Final Four -- or possibly -- the Big Game?
