Underwater homeowners can get help

The Federal Housing Finance Agency announced an extension of the Making Home Affordable Refinance Program through June 30, 2011. The program – also known as HARP or Home Affordable Refinance Program – was set to expire in June of 2010.

This program offers consumers the ability to refinance their existing mortgage in the case they owe more on their mortgage than their house is worth.
