She's our first female governor, and now she's our first blogging female governor. Beverly Perdue has a blog going at http://www.governor.state.nc.us/eTownhall/default.aspx .
There are only two entries in it at the moment, so it's somewhat limited. Further, I don't know how simulated typewriter font on simulated index cards is symbolic of Progression and Change, but maybe it's design thing.
Blog howRDUdoin'? actually takes issue with the idea that Governor Perdue's is "a real blog"; As Scott Jennings notes, there are no comments enabled and no RSS feed to keep people updated on new entries. I can see comments as optional, but I agree about the RSS feed -- I want to know what the Governor is up to! Make it easy by offering RSS feeds, or, if that's considered too technical, e-mail updates.
Speaking of female politicians, I dropped by Kay Hagan's new senatorial digs at http://hagan.senate.gov. Unfortunately there's not much there yet. Well, she just moved; she's probably still unpacking her desk. Richard Burr's Web site is going full blast, and he does have a blog to which he and his press office both post.
Are there any NC politicians whose blogs you enjoy?
