Just when you got used to the old money, along comes the NEW money. Yup, a new five dollar bill was released yesterday, and you can check it out at http://www.moneyfactory.gov/newmoney/ .
The new fin has some purple in the middle, watermarks, and security thread. There's also a very large 5 on the back designed to make the bill easier with people with low vision to use.
The Department of the Treasury has several PDF downloads of educational materials available. There's also a bunch of digital downloads. Who would have guessed that the rollout of a new bill design might also include podcasts, screen savers, and buddy icons?
