BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police said Thursday that they are searching for two men missing in unrelated cases.

Both Christopher Gregory Peters, 27, and Ricky Thomas Wright, 57, were reported missing Wednesday evening.

Peters, who suffers from schizophrenia, was last seen by his father at 1006 Fix St. in Burlington on April 9, which was his birthday, police said. He is likely on foot because he does not have a vehicle.

Peters is described as a white man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.

Wright's wife said she last saw him at their home at 1010 Tarleton Ave. around 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Police said she believes he is trying to get to Florida to see his sons and is likely on foot.

Wright is described as a white man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and a mustache. He was last seen wearing blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Peters or Wright is urged to call Burlington police at 229-229-3500 or the Alamance County Crime Stoppers at 336-229-7100. You do not have to give your name.
