Burlington police searching for armed robbery suspect

Burlington, N.C. — Burlington police are searching for a man they think is responsible for two armed robberies that happened within minutes Saturday.
The first robbery was reported at 9:04 a.m. at Ken’s Quickie Mart at 1309 Rauhut St., police said. The second happened six minutes later at the nearby Grill Works at 1233 W. Webb Ave.
Police said witness at both places gave a similar description of a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with chipped and faded paint and tag YTN-6381. The car was stolen about 20 minutes before the first robbery from the parking lot of Biscuitville, 2065 N. Church St.
Police are searching for Donnie Eastwood, who is charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and motor vehicle theft.
He is described as white, late 40s to 50s, about 6 feet tall and weighing 165 to 180 pounds. He has short gray hair that is receding and a thick mustache. He was wearing jeans, a dark-colored wind breaker and a white T-shirt.
