The owners of Bull City Craft, which closed its Durham storefront in June when another business took over the space, now have big plans.

Jessica Greene, who owns the business with her husband Franklin Santana, tells me that they plan two locations.

First is the Bull City Craft Annex, which will focus on drawing, painting and printmaking supplies in the Golden Belt, 807 E.  Main St. in Durham. A sneak preview was planned over the weekend. Golden Belt is a multi-use development that includes artist studios. The shop will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

In addition to the Golden Belt location, Bull City Craft also will open in late fall at Homestead Market Shopping Center near the popular Bean Traders coffee shop and The Mad Popper popcorn shop. The space, at 105 West NC Highway 54 in Durham, will host Bull City favorites, including the preschool playcraft, birthday parties, paint and pour and an arts and crafts shop. (The Golden Belt location won't include a play space or painting studio).

Greene promises more details about that space soon! The Homestead location, which is across Interstate 40 from the Streets at Southpoint, will make it much closer for families coming from Wake County.
