Greene is really busy right now getting the shop's newest location at Homestead Market on Highway 54 in Durham ready to open. Stay tuned for news soon. In fact, for the first time, the shop is offering online registration for its summer camps, which will be held at the Homestead Market location.

And here are a couple of Valentine's Day crafts!

Simple Felt Hearts: Tuck a snuggly heart in your pocket!
Materials
Felt
Scissors

Embroidery thread and needle OR hot glue

Directions: Cut two hearts (about 2” tall) from different colors of felt. You can cut two at the same time or cut one and then trace it to cut the second. Sandwich tiny felt scraps or a bit of cotton between the two hearts. Stitch together with a simple running stitch. For a No Sew version, hot glue the edges together. To make your heart a necklace or ornament, knot a strand of Baker’s twine and insert the knot into the heart before stitching or gluing.
Painted Mini Heart Pins: Wear your heart on your sleeve, or your bag, your jacket, anywhere you can pin it!
Materials
Mini Canvases (2”x2” or 3”x3”)
Craft paints and brushes
Felt
Scissors
Hot glue

1.5” safety pins

Directions: Paint the canvases. We traced a small heart onto a whole bunch of canvases and then had fun trying different techniques. Try using the handle end of the brush to scratch outlines and designs into the paint. While paint is drying, cut felt into 1”x2” pieces. Slip a safety pin onto the felt. Hot glue the top and bottom of the strip of felt onto the back of the canvas.
