Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day on Friday and Saturday with $5.50 bears!

That's a huge discount!

On Friday, September 8, and Saturday, September 9, Guests of Build-A-Bear Workshop stores can make their own limited-edition National Teddy Bear Day Bear for just $5.50 plus applicable taxes, while supplies last. (Purchase limit of five limited-edition bears per Guest.)

Build-A-Bear Workshop will also offer Traditional Cocoa Bear online for $10.50 at buildabear.com.

Here are some details you'll want to know:

* These are the regular full-size bears.

* At many stores, there will be 2 bears available, a beige bear with the 2017 Build-A-Bear logo and a plain beige bear.

* Outfits and accessories are extra.

* The event takes place at participating locations. I did confirm that the Crabtree Valley Mall location is participating. The store opens at 10 am and the employee with whom I spoke said there will be lines. Some people lined up last time as early as 6 am!

* At many locations, there will be fully stuffed bears to purchase without needing to go through the stuffing process (which is great if you are running in to pick up gifts) and there will also be some half stuffed bears that your child can do the normal stuffing process with.

* There are limited supplies in each store so they may run out.
