— At least 10 Broughton High School students are accused of stealing items from fellow students.

The principal says the culprits ransacked a room filled with book bags during a school-wide assembly on Friday. Among the items stolen were iPods and cell phones. Some of the items were later recovered.

The principal said the case has been turned over to the Raleigh Police Department, and that the students could face criminal charges.

Maybe they think the kids didn't know what they were doing. Maybe they think the kids were caught up in some sort of psychological whirlwind that they couldn't avoid. Maybe they think that if they charge these COMMON THIEVES, their little self esteems will be forever damaged. I agree with the first two posters in that kids today get away with way too much! In my day, actual punishments were doled out, and the kids were actually afraid to incur them. There was a sense of respect for authority and for other people (and their belongings) back then. I think it's high time to bring back some of those "old fashioned" ways.

What?? the principal said they COULD be charged, thats the problem. Please, Please, Johnny TRY not do that again, (while hold his hand). I know life if tought and you did not mean it ( No he's just mean).. "Book'em Danno" Life is tougher outside the walls of his high school and not as forgiving,. Ask any employer that is constantly hiring those like JOhnny and are late, will not do work assigned and even miss work because they forget that they have a JOB.
