GARNER, N.C. — A drive-by shooting in Johnston County early Saturday left two brothers injured, according to the sheriff's office.

Chief Deputy Bengie Gaddis said that Cory and Lamont Redman were standing outside a home at 212 Dana Drive in a neighborhood off Cleveland Road and Interstate 40.

He said that a red sports car drove past the home around 3:45 a.m., and someone in the car yelled out, then fired four of five times.

The brothers, who are in their early 20s, suffered minor injuries and were transported to WakeMed. They were treated and released.

Gaddis said investigators believe the shooting was not random and were developing information about suspects.
