Bring a Little Orange Into the Kitchen

Orange, in all its shades, is one of my favorite colors. It's so warm, so lively, and so vivacious, even though it can also be a bit intense. But isn't that kind of the point?

So I'm excited to hear that orange is starting to make a comeback in design, especially in the kitchen, where a flash of orange -- or an array of orange appliances -- can bring the room to life. Depending on the size and layout of your kitchen, you can decide how much (or how little) orange you want to use, but why not give this bright color a shot to see how it works in your home?

You can embark on great DIY projects with orange, like this dresser with drawers done in shades of orange from a paint chip, or you can talk to a San Francisco remodeling firm about going big; why not orange counters, or orange flooring? Dream big, and watch your kitchen explode in color.
