Durham, N.C. — An hourlong power outage hit Raleigh-Durham International Airport early Monday, but officials said the problem did not delay flights.
An RDU spokeswoman said the airport used backup generators, and planes were taking off and landing on time.
A spokesman from Duke Energy said the outage happened about 6:45 a.m. when some underground electrical equipment that serves the airport failed. Repairs were made and power was restored about 7:40 a.m.
