Emily Graslie, popular host of the YouTube series The Brain Scoop, will participate in a live video call Friday with visitors at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh.

Chris Smith, the museum's science correspondent, will lead the discussion at 11:30 a.m., Friday, in the museum's SECU Daily Planet Theater. They'll talk about Emily’s work at The Field Museum and see behind the scenes of her new show, Natural News. They'll set aside time for questions from the audience.

Emily Graslie is the Chief Curiosity Correspondent for The Field Museum in Chicago, and the creator, host and writer for its educational YouTube series, The Brain Scoop. Launched in January 2013, The Brain Scoop aims to share the research and collections work of natural history museums with a broad audience. To date, Emily and her team have created more than 150 videos, which have been viewed 15.7 million times all over the world, according to a press release.
