A Fort Bragg soldier died last week of injuries he suffered in a wreck southeast of Karadah, Iraq, officials announced Monday.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier died last week of injuries he suffered in a wreck southeast of Karadah, Iraq, officials announced Monday.

Pfc. Lukas C. Hopper, 20, of Merced, Calif., died Thursday following a vehicle roll-over, officials said. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd Airborne Division.

The circumstances surrounding the wreck are under investigation, officials said.
