<b>FORT BRAGG, N.C.</b> — An 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper was killed Tuesday in a crash in Iredell County, authorities said Friday.

Spc. Stephen McGowan, 24, of Brunswick, Ohio, served as a cavalry scout with 4th squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team at Fort Bragg.

No other details of the crash were released, and Fort Bragg authorities said the wreck remains under investigation.
