Bragg soldier killed in Afghanistan

Master Sgt. Benjamin A. Stevenson, 36, was killed when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire in the Paktika province.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg-based soldier died Thursday in Afghanistan, the military announced.

Master Sgt. Benjamin A. Stevenson, 36, was killed when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire in the Paktika province.

Stevenson served with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command based at Fort Bragg. He was form Canyon Lake, Texas.
