Bragg soldier killed in Afghanistan

— A Fort Bragg soldier was killed Monday during fighting in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Thursday.

Spc. Christopher A. Landis, 27, of Independence, Ky., died on Bagram Airfield after being wounded when his dismounted patrol with hit by a rocket-propelled grenade in Kapisa Province, officials said.

Landis was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).

    You are correct about when will finally get our young men & women out of Harms way. Do you remeMber when WRAL used to list how many of the brave YOUNG people perished in this NON War. How come that stopped> They are still dying, and for WHAT?
