Bragg soldier charged with attacking ex-girlfriend

Raeford, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier has been charged with attacking his former girlfriend, authorities said Tuesday.
Pfc. Joshua Howard Palmieri, 19, was charged with breaking and entering to terrorize and assault on a female. He was being held without bond in the Hoke County jail.
Deputies responded to a break-in in the 100 block of Brook Run in Lumber Bridge at about 5 p.m. Monday and found that Palmieri had kicked in the door and assaulted his former girlfriend, authorities said.
Palmieri is assigned to the C Troop, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.
