Fort Bragg, N.C. — Fort Bragg officials said Tuesday that remains have been found in the Eastern Training Area on the post.
Post spokesman Benjamin Abel said the remains were moved to an Army forensic laboratory for identification, due to their condition. He would not confirm whether the remains were human.
No further information was released.
Bragg officials had been searching for several hours Tuesday after receiving a report of a body on the base.

mobyfan & bluepenguin - that was my first thought last night, and they didn't say thrn whether or not they were human remains. I don't believe it be news otherwise (agreed smalldog). I hope this is Pfc. Bordeaux as I am sure her family needs closer and I think we all know there isn't much hope at this point that she'll be found alive. My heart and prayers are with this victim (whoever that might be) and the family.

If they weren't human, would it be news?
