FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday arrested a Fayetteville man wanted for the Memorial Day weekend stabbing death of his girlfriend.

Keith Devon Manuel, 32, of 1686 South Reilly Road, was found in a home in College Park, Ga., Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Cumberland County authorities issued warrants against Manuel on May 29, charging him with first-degree murder in the death of Jessica Sinatra Lee-Morgan. Investigators said Manuel then fled North Carolina.

The body of Lee-Morgan, 35, was discovered inside her SUV in Stedman on May 25. A passerby had noticed the vehicle along Shelton Beard Road for much of the previous day.

An autopsy report said she had been stabbed four times and was last known to be alive in the early-morning hours of May 23.
