Boyfriend is suspect in Henderson woman's death

Henderson police on Monday issued an arrest warrant for the boyfriend of a woman found dead in her home Sept. 21.

HENDERSON, N.C. — Henderson police on Monday issued an arrest warrant for the boyfriend of a woman found dead in her home Sept. 21.

Police said Tisha Hargrove, 46, and Gregory Lamant Baskett, 43, were living together at 124 N. Bullock St.

Authorities did not say how Hargrove died, but asked that the public be on the lookout for Baskett, who is described as an African-American man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 167 pounds with close-cropped black hair and brown eyes.

Baskett could be in the Raleigh or Fayetteville area, and he should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Anyone with information about Baskett or the crime is asked to call the Henderson Police Department at 252-438-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 252-492-1925. Callers may remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers offers a reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
