Bottle cap art exhibit planned for Scrap Exchange
Raleigh artist and mom Denise Hughes will display her bottle cap art in an exhibit at Durham's Scrap Exchange.
Posted — UpdatedI featured Raleigh artist and mom Denise Hughes a couple of weeks ago. She creates amazing murals and art with the simple bottle cap, including a stunning piece at Joyner Elementary School in Raleigh.
Now you can take a closer work at her art during a gallery show at The Scrap Exchange in Durham, which opens Friday. The exhibit called Beauty Through Toxicity will be on display through July 11.
An artist reception is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., June 19. The evening’s festivities include light snacks and drinks and free art making in the Make and Take room. It's all free.
