— Meb Keflezighi, who won the Boston Marathon on Monday, is scheduled to participate in the All American Marathon in Fayetteville, race organizers announced.

Keflezighi, 38, the first American to win the Boston race since 1985, will also speak with runners during a pre-race party on May 3.

The All American Marathon will take place on May 4. The course will take runners through Fayetteville and around Fort Bragg.

"Being involved with this race is just a way to show appreciation for what this country has given to me and my family," Keflezighi said in a statement.
