Posted — UpdatedThe threat was reported around noon to administrators at Shugart elementary and middle schools. An ordnance team cleared the buildings a short time later. Nothing was found, officials said.
"Our school evacuation and emergency procedures worked as we have rehearsed and tested them," said Tom McCollum, a post spokesman.
Students were moved to “secure locations” in the Linden Oaks community, officials said, and the public was asked to avoid the area during the investigation.
