— Police evacuated the Durham Public Schools administration building on Wednesday after a man made a statement about possibly having a bomb.

Police responded around 9:15 a.m. to the building at 511 Cleveland St. and evacuated the third floor. The floor was briefly locked down and searched.

No weapons or bombs were found, authorities said. No one was injured.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken into custody but not charged. Police said his comments were taken out of context.

This is the stupidest no story I have ever heard. People do not come to Durham to shop. You may be a victim of an extortioner trying to exact a toll from you in a parking lot.
