LAPLACE, La. — Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents have recovered the body of a Garyville man from a waterway in St. John the Baptist Parish.
Wildlife spokesman Adam Einck said in a news release LDWF agents along with St. John the Baptist Sheriff Office deputies recovered the body of 54-year-old Nelson Trosclair from Mississippi Bayou early Tuesday morning.
Einck says three men were frogging in Mississippi Bayou when they hit a submerged tree limb ejecting Trosclair from the 17 foot flat bottom vessel into the water. He says the two other men to rescue Trosclair but were unsuccessful and called 911 for assistance.
Einck says Trosclair was not wearing a lifejacket.
