Body found in woods off NC 86 in Hillsborough
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a body was found Tuesday afternoon in the woods, just north of Interstate 85.
Posted — UpdatedORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a body was found Tuesday afternoon in the woods just north of Interstate 85.
According to a tweet, the decomposed body was found just inside the wood line, across from the Tractor Supply in the 1800 block of N.C. Highway 86 in Hillsborough.
Authorities identified the remains as Darrell Wayne Staley, 51, of Hillsborough. The cause of death hasn't been determined, but authorities said there was no indication of foul play.
