Body found in Rocky Mount park

Rocky Mount, N.C. — Police were investigating the Monday morning discovery of a body in a Rocky Mount park as a suspicious death.

The body was found in Aycock Park, at 1200 Aycock St.

No other details, including the person's identity, the cause of death or who found the body, were released.

Whats even worse is that me and my brother both were cops there and most all of our friends who were cops have left due to the major decline in the department itself lol I feel sorry for the very few good citizens left there.

Yep crime there is crazy and I lived there and left in 2011. As a cop living there I got tired of dealing with the criminals of that city and their stupidity. Me and my wife were trying to have children and I told her there is no way I will raise a child in RM lol. We now live in Alabama where the crime here is not even a fraction of what RM had. That place is a total 180 from the city I remember as a child.

Good move to get away Pirate. I live nearby. Please do yourself a favor and bypass Rocky Mount. Stop to get gas if you must but no need to stay.
