Body armor seized in Durham drug bust
Durham County investigators seized body armor in addition to drugs and weapons in a search of a home last week, authorities said.

The search of 3815 Dunn Ave. followed a month-long investigation by the Durham County Sheriff's Office Anti-Crime and Narcotics Unit, authorities said.
Deputy Sheriff Paul Sherwin said the sheriff's office has seized two sets of body armor this year. There is no state law that precludes people from owning bullet-proof vests, he said, but federal law bars anyone convicted of a violent felony from possessing one.
Shelton Neville McCall, 42, was charged with four counts each of selling cocaine and delivering cocaine, five counts each of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and one count each of possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McCall, who was being held in the Durham County jail under a $250,000 bond, has only drug and driving convictions in North Carolina, according to state Division of Adult Correction records.
