Bodies of missing Durham man, woman found in Falls Lake

The body of Carl Lynnberg Adams, 70, who was last seen on Dec. 19 on Sprucewood Drive, was pulled from the lake Monday afternoon near in the Hickory Hill Boat Ramp, off Redwood Road east of Interstate 85.

The body of 35-year-old Tierra Essence Mann was recovered on Tuesday.

Family members said the couple, who had an 11-year-old child, disappeared at the same time.

Police said a Toyota 4Runner was recovered from the water as well. Police said last month that Adams and Mann might be traveling in a 4Runner.

The deaths remain under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Cpl. M. Richards of the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4440, extension 29320.

The Durham County Sheriff’s Office Search and Recovery Team, Durham County EMS paramedics, firefighters with the Redwood Volunteer Fire Department, North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission officers and North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers assisted police in the recovery effort.
