— The city zoning board on Monday recommended putting a proposed adult bookstore in an industrial zone to isolate it from churches and daycare centers.

Chris Peacock, owner of a Rocky Mount adult bookstore, wanted to open another store in Henderson.

The issue now goes to the city council, which meets next Monday.

Peacock ran into similar obstacles when he opened his Rocky Mount store in 2003.

"to isolate it from churches and daycare centers. " Huh? Didn't realize toddlers were big patrons of adult bookstores... and don't the church deacons usually sneak in the side door anyways?

you are welcome to bring it to apex. there are plenty of places in the city that are not actually part of the city that allows them to skirt the city rules.

come on down to apex. the peak of good living.
