Black Friday store & mall openings

If you are mapping out your Black Friday shopping adventure, you'll need to know when the stores are opening. For some of the stores this year, you won't even have time to go to sleep after your Thanksgiving meal before the Black Friday madness begins!

For sneak previews of the Black Friday ads, head to BFads.net. There are also some great articles on the site including buying guides for some of the hottest products this year including TV’s, cell phones and video game systems.

Ace Hardware: Friday, 11/25 at 12 AM (midnight)

Amazon: online deals have started with new deals each day HERE

Belk: Friday, 11/25 at 3:00 AM

Best Buy in-store: Door open on Friday, 11/25 at 12:00 AM midnight BUT they are handing out tickets for the hot items up to 2 hours before the midnight store opening.

Best Buy online sales: Sales start on Thursday. See BestBuy.com/onlineonly for more information.

CVS: Thursday, 11/24 (times vary by store)

Dick's Sporting Goods in-store: Friday, 11/25 at 5:00 AM

Dick's Sporting Goods online: Thursday, 11/24 at 6:00 AM

JC Penney: Friday, 11/25 at 4:00 AM

Kohl’s: 11/25 at 12 AM (midnight)

Kmart: Friday, 11/25 at 5:00 AM

Michael’s: Thursday, 11/24 from 4 PM – 10PM and then Friday, 11/25 starting at 5:00 AM

Office Depot: Friday, 11/25 at 6:00 AM

Office Max in-stores: Friday, 11/25 at 6:00 AM

Office Max online: Thursday, 11/24 starting at 7:00 AM

Pet Smart: Friday, 11/25 at 7:00 AM

Rite Aid: Thursday, 11/24 (times vary by store)

Sears: Friday, 11/25 at 4:00 AM

Staples in-store: Friday, 11/25 at 6:00 AM

Target: Friday, 11/25 at 12:00 AM midnight

Target online: The Black Friday ad indicated that stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, but you can shop online all day at Target.com. The ad does not indicate if the Black Friday sales starting on Friday in stores will be available Thursday on-line.

Toys R Us: Thursday, 11/24 at 9:00 PM

Walgreens: Thursday, 11/24 (times vary by store)

Walmart in-store: Thursday, 11/24 at 10:00 PM for toys, video games, bikes, home goods, small appliances, clothes and more. Friday, 11/25 at 12:01 AM for electronics deals

Area Malls:

Carolina Premium Outlets, Smithfield: Thursday, 11/24 select stores open at 9:00 PM. On Friday, 11/25 the rest of the mall opens at 12:00 AM midnight. HERE for the list of stores opening at 9:00 PM on Thursday.

Cary Towne Center, Cary: Friday, 11/25 stores open at 4:00 AM. HERE for the extended hours schedule.

Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh: Macy’s, Best Buy and Old Navy open on Friday, 11/25 at 12:00 AM midnight. Many stores open at 3:00 AM, 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM and at 6:00 AM the mall officially opens. HERE for the list of stores opening as early as midnight.

Northgate Mall, Durham: Customer Service verified that Macy’s Sears and other stores are opening early and that there should be a list of stores opening early in the paper on Thursday. The details are not on their website. HERE for the extended hours schedule.

The Streets at Southpoint, Durham: Friday, 11/25 at 6:00 AM (with some chains opening much earlier). HERE for the extended hours schedule.

Triangle Town Center, Raleigh: There are a number of stores opening at midnight and then the mall opens at 3:00 AM. HERE for the extended hours schedule and list of stores opening at midnight.

Tanger Outlets, Mebane: The new outlet malls in Mebane will open from 10 p.m. to midnight Thanksgiving Day and will stay open from 12 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, hours will return to normal, with stores being open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. HERE are complete holiday hours for the outlets.

Cross Creek, Fayetteville: Several stores will open at midnight on Friday, but the mall itself is open from 3 a.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 25. On Saturday, Cross Creek will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. HERE is a complete holiday schedule including which stores open at midnight on Black Friday.

Most of the open malls like North Hills and Cameron Village will have stores that open early but the mall is not advertising an early opening. If there is a specific store you are interested in shopping on Black Friday, you may want to call the store to verify the hours.

Did you guys read the Walmart Ad? There are THREE different starting times, depending on what you want. SO, you can go early and get everything, but you have to be there at least 10 hours if you want something from each of the 3 times. That is just crazy. What a mess this Black Friday stuff is getting to be.

Speaking of the Tangier outlets in Mebane, I was just up there, Yankee Candle will be 40% off storewide and I'm pretty sure the girl in Tommy Hilfiger told me the same thing, 40% off storewide - seems the whole outlet will be open at 10pm Thursday night, all night and close 10pm Friday.

Im just shopping in Apex...not at a mall this year I think..Im going to target first, then old navy opens at midnight as well, and justice (my daughters WHOLE christmas list) opens at midnight..then by the time im done with those..bath and body works is opening at 4am!(my christmas list:) Thats really the only places I want to go and I dont think it will be as busy as a mall!

I was looking at bfads.net and it seems that Walmart is not offering as many of their sales online. The post says that they updated the Walmart listing to reflect that...so does that mean if it doesn't say "online only" or "in store only" that it means that they are available both online and in-store? Forgive me for my ignorance but I've never done the Black Friday thing before!

dancingdesserts, Walmart will have about 3/4 of the stuff from the ad available online. Some of it will go on sale Thursday, but as steph mentioned, some of the deals now are very good and you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get them.

If anyone is paying attention to the online sites -- walmart, amazon, target, best buy -- almost all have offered a lot of their BF "early bird" specials over the past few days as well. They go out of stock quickly, but we have been able to get a lot of things by watching the bfads.net site

check bfads.net but I think some of their stuff (walmart) will be onsale online early. Just not sure what all it will be. Seems like I read something about that earlier today.
