Scoredsome great finds at Gymboree: everything was 30% off, even clearance. Then I used a 20% coupon I received in the mail. Bought items for $2.50 and $4.00 -- that's cheaper than Walmart! Also good finds at Belk and Macy's and nearly everything on my list at Walmart too. I didn't go out until Friday at 5 a.m. and most of the deals were still available. :)

Thanks for sharing your deals (and chaos) everyone!

I finally went out to Walgreens around 4 pm this afternoon and there were no lines and they had all the freebies I was looking for. That's my kind of Black Friday shopping! lol

JC Penney was a zoo, every register had extremely long lines. I walked right through the store and kept it moving.

I did Black Friday shopping for the first time in probably 20 years. My son and I left home 2 4:30 a.m. with hopes of getting a $59 Christmas Tree @ Home Depot. They had plenty and even had cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate for the shoppers. I was very impressed! I also purchased some 99 cent poinsettias for my sister and myself. Check-out was smooth and easy. I went to several other places (7.5 hours worth) but my entire trip was perfected at my first stop, thanks Home Depot! :-)

I was at Macy's this morning and shoppers were getting very annoyed because most items at Macy's are ineligible for the coupon in their ad. I hope people were able to get good deals without it. Belks was great and if you did not have a coupon, they scanned one for you.

My daughter wanted the Jason Aldean CD for $7 at Target. We didn't get there until around 11: 00 am this morning. There were none on the shelf and the guy told me his computer was showing one more but it was probably just not updated from a recent purchase. We were checking out the Black Friday display of movies at the front of the store and I was looking around at the ones left on top of the display. Underneath a couple of moves was that last Jason Aldean CD. I became Mom of the Year. LOL!!!!!

Needed a new chest freezer and Sears had a 14.8 cu ft model normally $529.49 on sale for $397.49 ($132 off). I bought four $100 Sears gift cards through Albertsons giving me four $20 off your next purchase Albertsons groceries ($80 free groceries), used them to purchase the freezer at Sears. This brings the price of the freezer down to $317.49 and I can mail my receipt to my power company for a $50 credit (with the Energy Star efficiency rating of the freezer), making my OOP for the freezer $267.49, or 51% off of full retail. Whoo hoo!

So - any crazy Black Friday stories to report? Four hour wait in line? Did you see any knock-down, drag-out, hair-pulling brawls??

What was the BEST deal you bought?

Restaurant.com has great savings on area restaurants today. I got almost $200 off for $38. Today only use code GIFT and get half off EVERYTHING sitewide! http://rst.cm/fwq1r

Kohl's had a great sale on tons of stuff...I spent $276 on over $600 worth of stuff and got $75 Kohl's cash back to spend. I'm almost done with all my Christmas shopping and will probably stay under my $600 budget. Not bad for a family of 4!
