Apparently, Tide has become a "form of currency", according to this article. People are stealing the mountain fresh liquid and reselling it for $5 to $10 per bottle on the streets. Some are even reselling it to other stores!

Clearly people do not realize that there are MUCH less expensive brands of laundry detergent out there! Who here willingly pays $10 (or even $5) for a bottle for laundry detergent? Obviously these people paying $10 per bottle on the black market need a couponing intervention.

So if you find yourself being approached on the sidewalk by a guy selling Tide out of the back of his van, you may want to think twice about making that purchase.
