Biltmore Estate Christmas
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Biltmore Estate kicked off its holiday celebration Wednesday with the annual raising of its Christmas tree.

The 35-foot fraser fir tree was delivered via horse and carriage. It took 40 employees with ropes and pulleys to raise the tree to stand in the banquet hall, where it will be the centerpiece of the estate's holiday celebration.

The tree was then decorated with lights and 500 ornaments.
