Big Muddy gears up for big event Sept. 7

Big Muddy Challege welcome sign

Raleigh dad Adam Spisak is keeping me in the loop about his big event for parents and kids - the Big Muddy Challenge.

It's set for Sept. 7 at Hill Ridge Farm in Youngsville. So far, at least 800 people are registered for it, including Go Ask Mom's own Stacy Lamb, who will be competing with her daughter and will write all about it. I am so disappointed that I won't be out there with my own older daughter ... but I guess it would be bad form for us to skip out on my younger daughter's birthday party. Before shot of Big Muddy Challenge water and slide obstacle

From the looks of the pictures Spisak sent over to me the other day, the name of the event - Big Muddy, specifically - is apt. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to get pretty dirty.

Spisak sent over some pictures from before they put together some of the obstacles along the two-mile course to show the terrain. They are all included here in the post. Before shot of Big Muddy Challenge water obstacle

The event is for kids ages 6 to 12 and their adult. There is still time to register. Read my earlier post for more information. Check the website for details about how to sign up.
